![]() There's a shifter only kit from S1 sequential to convert from your "H" pattern, but it is only a shifter that works with the existing T56 set up and is not clutchless, I'm not familiar with their kit but may be worth looking into if you aren't in need of a full out race prep gearbox. ![]() I don't know of any other company that does a complete internal set up similar to the Pfitzner kit. I have been running the stock Tremec T56 Magnum shifter for a few years now and have found it to be just marginally acceptable on the street and nearly useless at track speeds. Even during normal driving I occasionally miss 3rd and end up in 5th. T56 Magnum sequential shifter, pros/cons. This has been designed for easy instaliation for anyone with basic mechanical skills. This t56 shifter will convert your standard H-pattern gearbox to sequential operation with a simple bolt fitting for repeatable quick shifts. Some of the guys who race in the n.a.s.a. Sequential shifter : Forward position Tr6060,Magnum. It does require extra machining to the transmission case so there's some extra work in setting it all up. It is VERY nice stuff, and they price it accordingly. This is not a bolt on shifter but a true high strength motorsports sequential. A sequential transmission on the other hand is going to be well over. We can convert just about any Tremec 6-speed transmission to full sequential. It was going behind a Ford 429 in a 69 Mustang. In reply to Lof8 - Andy : The YXZ is awesome because its a real sequential box- that magic doesnt live in the shifter. A sequential shift kit could be had for a couple thousand depending on what type of setup. We built a T56 for a customer last fall using their gear kit. I want clutchless sequential shifting and have heard about an Australian company called PFITZNER who do a kit for Corvettes.and now Ford.ĭoes anyone here have any experience of PFITZNER, their product, or recommendations for other companies who do similar kits to make this possible? I've literally just started a pro-touring project, with a '69 Mustang body and brand new Coyote/T56 drivechain.
